Privacy Policy
Effective 25 July 2026. This policy explains what Bracketr.gg collects, why it is used, when it is shared and the choices available to you.
1. Who operates Bracketr.gg
Bracketr.gg (“Bracketr”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is an independently operated esports competition platform based in Australia. Privacy questions and requests can be submitted through our contact page.
2. Information we collect
We may collect account and profile details, email address, encrypted password, avatar, team or organisation roles, tournament registrations, rosters, match results, rankings, support requests and information you choose to submit.
When you connect a third-party account, we receive the information you authorise that provider to share. Technical information may include IP address, browser and device details, timestamps, security events and essential session-cookie data.
3. How we use information
- Provide accounts, profiles, teams, tournaments, rankings and broadcasts.
- Verify identity and connect accounts at your request.
- Communicate about competitions, service updates and support.
- Prevent abuse, secure the service and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information.
4. Google and YouTube API data
Bracketr.gg uses YouTube API Services when you choose to connect a YouTube account. We request read-only access to identify and display your YouTube channel connection on your Bracketr profile. We do not upload, edit or delete YouTube content through this connection.
Bracketr.gg’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Your use of YouTube remains subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
You can revoke access through your Google Account connections, disconnect the account in Bracketr, or contact us to request deletion of stored connection data.
5. Sharing and public information
Display names, team membership, tournament entries, results, rankings and public profile links may be public by design. Information may also be shared with service providers, authorised competition administrators, connected platforms at your request, or where required by law. We do not use Google user data for advertising.
6. Storage, security and retention
We use reasonable safeguards including access controls, encrypted transport and password hashing. We retain information only as long as reasonably needed to operate and secure the service, preserve legitimate competition records, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations.
7. Your choices
You may update available profile details, disconnect supported accounts, withdraw optional permissions, or ask us to access, correct or delete personal information. Contact us to submit a request; we may need to verify your identity.
8. Children, international services and changes
Bracketr is not directed to children under 13. Information may be processed in Australia and other countries. We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change and will update the effective date when we do.
